New Delhi [India], August 23 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday met the Indian Mixed Disability Men’s Cricket Team in New Delhi after the players returned from their tour of England for the seven-match T20I Series 2026 against the Three Lions.
Shah congratulated the team for their efforts and determination, saying their commitment to bringing laurels to the country serves as an inspiration for the youth of India.
“Glad to have met the Divyang Men’s Cricket Team of India in New Delhi today. The team has returned from its tour of England for the India-England Men’s Mixed Disability T20I Series 2026. Their efforts and determination to win honours for the nation inspire the youth of India. Wished them all the best for their future endeavours,” Shah wrote on X.
The Indian team clinched the India-England Men’s Mixed Disability T20I Series 2026, showcasing their talent and determination on the international stage. The victory marked another milestone for disability cricket in India and highlighted the growing recognition of athletes competing in the sport.
The India-England Men’s Mixed Disability T20I Series 2026 witnessed a closely fought contest between the two sides. England started the series with a 29-run win on August 5, defeating India 159-4 to 130-9.
India bounced back on August 7 with a six-run victory after posting 159 and restricting England to 147-4. On August 9, India secured another win, beating England by eight runs after defending a total of 125-9.
England levelled the contest with a two-run win on August 12, chasing India’s 117-run total. The hosts then registered two consecutive victories on August 15 and 16, defeating India by 54 runs and 18 runs, respectively. India ended the series on a high note, securing an 18-run win on August 19 after scoring 206-4.
