Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 6 (ANI): In a sarcastic social media post on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar took a sharp jibe at Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav, claiming that the SP chief has lost the “courage” to hold rallies following a “flop” event in Dadri.
Taking to social media platform X, Rajbhar advised Yadav to “wake up” and claimed that the ground beneath the Samajwadi Party has “hollowed out.”
“Good morning Akhilesh ji. Get up, it’s morning already. How much more will you sleep, Maharaj? Listen, today I dreamt that you’ll stay in this relaxed pose right up until the elections. Meaning, you’ll just keep sleeping like this,” Rajbhar posted.
The SBSP chief further alleged that the lack of public programs from the SP camp was due to the failure of their recent rally.
“That dream reminded me that after the flop rally in Dadri, you realised your ground is now hollowed out. That’s why you’re not holding any rallies. Your own ‘special’ people are saying that after seeing the fate of that rally, you can’t muster the courage to hold another one. You’re despondent and disheartened,” Rajbhar claimed.
Targeting the SP’s traditional vote bank and its reliance on digital campaigning, Rajbhar added, “Just Yadav and Mian Bhai’s votes won’t cut it, friend. Twitter, AC-PC won’t work either. So rise and wake, traveller, dawn has broken.”
The Minister’s remarks come after the ruling NDA and the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh begin their groundwork for the 2027 assembly elections.
Earlier on Sunday, speaking about the NDA Alliance meeting in Lucknow, Rajbhar asserted that the alliance is working toward a significant electoral benchmark.
“BJP national president Nitin Nabin has come to Uttar Pradesh for the first time. Today, he will hold a meeting with the parties included in the NDA alliance… Our objective is to win more seats in Uttar Pradesh than in 2017. We are all working in that direction,” Rajbhar said. (ANI)
