New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): The Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust on Thursday launched a golf cart service within the Delhi High Court premises to facilitate the movement of senior, aged and needy members of the Bar.
The golf carts were formally flagged off by Delhi High Court Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya in the presence of Justice Amit Sharma. The flag-off ceremony was held at 10:15 AM from the podium of Chamber Block-III in the Delhi High Court complex.
The initiative has been undertaken pursuant to a unanimous resolution passed in a meeting of the Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust. Under the resolution, the Trust purchased two golf carts to provide transport assistance within the court complex for advocates who are senior citizens, aged, or otherwise in need of mobility support.
According to the Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust, the service aims to make movement across the expansive court premises more convenient and accessible for members of the Bar facing mobility challenges.
The event was attended by members of the Bar and office-bearers of the Trust, including Secretary Abhilash Mathur and Trustee Senior Advocate Amit Chadha. (ANI)
