New Delhi [India], November 3 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi on Tuesday described AISA president Neha Bora’s remarks regarding the safety of Brahmin women inside temple premises as deeply unfortunate. She noted that while the video may be older, she argued that the underlying mindset was reflected in the statements.

Spekaing to ANI, Chaturvedi questioned the appropriateness of using derogatory generalisations, emphasising that radical thinking from either the Left or the Right damages the nation.

“It is highly unfortunate. While I believe this may be an old video, it reveals a mindset that asserts rapes happen in temples, are committed by priests, and that Brahmin women are unsafe. I generally avoid focusing on caste, but as a Brahmin woman myself, I must ask: is it appropriate to use such derogatory language? I have always maintained that this kind of radical thinking, whether from the Left or the Right, is harmful to the nation,” she said.

The remarks came after Bora raised concerns over the safety of Brahmin women inside temple premises, citing the danger of rape by temple priests.

Chaturvedi further said that young leaders should channel their intellect into constructive activism rather than viewing societal issues strictly through the prism of caste and religion.

“I would like to sit down with Neha Bora and explain that not everything should be viewed through the lens of caste or religion. She is young, talented, bright, and smart, with the drive to fight for a cause; she ought to use her intellect more constructively,” she said.

BJP leader RP Singh claimed that an interconnected gang—including opposition figures  including Rahul Gandhi, Neha Bora, Manish Sisodia, Arvind Kejriwal, Akhilesh Yadav, and others is working with a dual motive: to systematically cast doubt on premier democratic institutions like the Election Commission, the judiciary, and the armed forces, and to foster cultural animosity.

“It is quite clear. There is an entire gang, including Rahul Gandhi, Neha Bora, Manish Sisodia, Arvind Kejriwal, Akhilesh Yadav, and others, all working with a specific motive. The first part of this motive is to strike at the nation’s constitutional institutions, to cast doubt upon them, and to question their legitimacy. Whether it is the Election Commission, the Army, or even the judiciary, they have spared none of them. The next step in their process is also very clear: to attack the nation’s culture, with the aim of fostering hatred toward it among the people. This is why Neha Bora claimed that priests in temples commit rape,” he said.

Further, he echoed Chaturvedi’s idea not to generalise an isolated incident, saying that it clearly showcases the mindset of Congress’ “poster girl” who is now speaking the language of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

“Even if an isolated incident were to occur, generalising it in this manner is simply wrong. It is evident what kind of mindset is held by the person whom the Congress has made its ‘poster girl’ and brought into its fold; all these elements are interconnected. This is not an isolated or new statement; she is saying exactly what Rahul Gandhi wants, what the Congress wants, and the Congress, in turn, wants what foreign powers desire,” he said.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi asserted that the rhetoric surrounding “regime change” is a smokescreen masking a deeper animosity toward the Constitution and Sanatan tradition. He accused political dynasties and their allies of inciting chaos and spreading malicious propaganda to undermine democratic norms.

“This entire scheme for a coup, this attempt at ‘regime change’, is a classic case of ‘looking one way while aiming at another.’ Their conspiracies are directed less against the government and more against the Constitution and Sanatan [tradition/faith]. Their intolerance, deep-seated animosity, and the chaos they incite against Sanatan are nothing new. While they may offer other pretexts, their primary focus is to dismantle constitutional values and norms, while simultaneously spreading malicious propaganda against Sanatan. These individuals, relics of political dynasties known for their mischief, are being exposed day after day,” he said. (ANI)
