Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 9 (ANI): Superstar Allu Arjun penned a heartfelt birthday wish for the director VV Vinayak and called him an “elder brother.”
The actor shared a note on X to extend birthday wishes to the director. He also described the filmmaker as a “commercial blockbuster” director in Indian cinema.
He wrote, “Many many happy returns of the day to the commercial blockbuster director, VV Vinayak garu. He is not just a director to me. He is like an elder brother who has taught me many important foundations in life. Happy Birthday, Annaya.”

Allu Arjun collaborated with director VV Vinayak for the film ‘Bunny’ in 2005. It was one of the commercial hits of that year in the Telugu film industry.
Apart from Allu Arjun, the film also starred Gowri Munjal, Prakash Raj and Mukesh Rishi in prominent roles. The music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with editing done by Gautham Raju and cinematography by Chota K. Naidu.
The film was remade in Bangladeshi Bengali as Tomar Jonno Morte Pari (2007), starring Shakib Khan.
As for the director VV Vinayak, the filmmaker’s last directorial was the Bollywood film ‘Chatrapathi’ which starred Bellamkonda Sreenivas in his Hindi film debut playing the titular role with Nushrat Bharucha, Bhagyashree, Sharad Kelkar, Freddy Daruwala, Karan Singh Chhabra, Rajendra Gupta and Rajesh Sharma in supporting roles.
