
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 10 (ANI): Ajay Devgn is set to take on a new role as he makes his television hosting debut with the popular crime show ‘Crime Patrol’. The actor will be seen presenting the show as it returns with stories based on crime cases.
The makers recently released the first promo featuring Ajay, giving viewers a first look at his role as the new host.
In the promo, Ajay talks about the alleged crime situation in the country and points out that the person behind a crime is often someone known to the victim. He ends the promo by saying, “Main rahunga aapke saath”. The show is set to premiere on August 31 on Sony Entertainment Television.

Talking about his association with the show, Ajay said that being part of ‘Crime Patrol’ comes with a “responsibility” towards its viewers. He said, “Coming together with a show like Crime Patrol feels like a responsibility to my fans and viewers. The show has built a legacy of understanding crime stories while driving awareness among viewers, encouraging them to become more vigilant about the people around them and who they interact with and trust.”
The actor also spoke about the stories that will be featured on the show and said he hopes they help viewers stay careful rather than fearful. “As we bring to the forefront some of the stories inspired by cases that have shaken the nation, I hope and believe that I can help and guide audiences to navigate them with caution rather than fear.”

Ajay’s entry as the host marks a new phase for ‘Crime Patrol’, a show that has had several hosts over the years. Actor Anup Soni remains closely associated with the series, having hosted it for several years with his own distinct style.
Ajay, meanwhile, has played several police and law enforcement characters on the big screen. His roles in films such as ‘Gangaajal’, ‘Singham’ and ‘Drishyam’ have already seen him take on characters connected to crime and investigation. (ANI)
