Washington [US], May 21 (ANI): Filming in Montana may have offered stunning landscapes for ‘The Madison’, but Michelle Pfeiffer says the working conditions on set were far from comfortable.
The Golden Globe-winning actor recently revealed that the cast and crew of the Taylor Sheridan-created Paramount+ series had to cope without basic amenities while shooting on location.
As per Deadline, in a recent interview, Pfeiffer said the production setup was “all a little bit rushed.”
“It was all a little bit rushed for everyone, and so there weren’t certain accommodations set up,” Pfeiffer said, adding, “There is no bathroom, even the outhouse is not real. So there’s no AC, there’s no plumbing, there isn’t anything. But it is breathtakingly glorious.”
The actor explained that filming in remote outdoor locations also meant the production could not keep traditional trailers nearby because scenes were being shot in full 360-degree environments.
“We didn’t really have trailers there, because they were shooting 360, so they couldn’t have a bunch of trailers around,” she said, adding, “So there’s really no place for us to sit. There was no bathroom nearby. There was no food,” as quoted by Deadline.
Pfeiffer also described the weather challenges faced during production across different seasons.
“And in the winter, it was cold. It was like, ‘Could we have a heater?’ And in the summer, it was like, ‘Could I get an umbrella because the sun’s really intense?'” she added, as quoted by Deadline.
In ‘The Madison’, Pfeiffer plays Stacy Clyburn, whose family relocates to rural Montana while grieving the death of family patriarch Preston Clyburn, played by Kurt Russell.
The series continues to expand on Paramount+, with the platform granting ‘The Madison’ an early season 3 renewal in April, shortly after the season 1 finale aired in March.
Although not officially announced by the studio, season 2 reportedly completed filming last fall. (ANI)
