Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], October 14 (ANI): Acting on information from sources, a raid was conducted by West Bengal STF on Tuesday at a house in Ayubnagar, under Nadial PS, Kolkata, leading to the detection of an illegal arms manufacturing unit.
The raid resulted in the recovery of 2 seven-mm firearms, 2 country-made firearms, live ammunition of different calibres, fired ammunition and a considerable quantity of arms-manufacturing tools, indicating the operation of an illegal firearm manufacturing setup. The accused person managed to flee but had been identified.
Accordingly, a case has been initiated under the relevant provisions of the Arms Act at Nadial PS. Efforts are underway to apprehend the absconding accused and investigate the network involved in this manufacturing unit. (ANI)
