
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 12 (ANI): To celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to roll out an extensive, month-long mass outreach campaign titled the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” across the entire Kashi region.
Running from September 17 to October 17, the drive aims to spread the message of service, good governance, welfare of the poor, and a developed India at the booth level, rather than simply a series of events.
The campaign’s main attraction will be a bike ride from Kashi to Vadnagar, Gujarat. The yatra will begin on September 17, the Prime Minister’s birthday, after the Kashi Vishwanath Temple is offered water from 10 rivers, and will conclude approximately 20 days later on October 7th in his birthplace, Vadnagar.
At a meeting of newly appointed office bearers and regional executive committee members at the BJP Kashi region headquarters in Rohaniya on Thursday, regional president Ashok Chaurasia presented the campaign’s outline and program blueprint to the officials. He directed the campaign to be implemented extensively in all 16 districts of the Kashi region. Under this campaign, plans are underway to reach 71 assembly constituencies, 337 mandals, and 31,168 booths.
BJP has given special importance to the proposed bike rally from Kashi to Vadnagar. The “Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra” will convey the message of connecting the Prime Minister’s birthplace and his workplace. This journey, led by the BJYM, will begin on September 17 after the Kashi Vishwanath Temple is offered water from 10 rivers. The journey, which will last approximately 20 days, will reach Vadnagar on October 7.
For the BJP, this journey is not merely a bike rally, but a political-cultural message connecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life from his birthplace to his workplace and from his workplace to his birthplace. A contact campaign will also be launched between workers and supporters, describing Kashi as the Prime Minister’s workplace and Vadnagar as his birthplace.
Regional President Ashok Chaurasia received feedback from the Yuva Morcha Kashi Regional Incharge on the preparations for the bike rally so far.
Regional President Ashok Chaurasia stated that the campaign will connect citizens’ and workers’ trust in the Prime Minister to the booth level through the “Aashirwad Ka Diya” program. The plan is to ensure the participation of workers, youth, women, and beneficiaries of various schemes at approximately 31,168 booths in the Kashi region. Booth committees and Panna Pramukhs have been tasked with taking the campaign to every household.
He stated that the greatest gift a country’s workers and citizens can give to the Prime Minister is their blessings and trust. With this in mind, emphasis was placed on making “Aashirwad Ka Diya” a program with widespread public participation.
The campaign’s expansion will not be limited to the party organisation. Under the “Dream India” program, various activities and speech competitions will be organised in government and private schools to promote the commitment to a developed India.
Meanwhile, “Gram Chaupal and Direct Dialogue” will be used to reach out to people in rural areas.
The party is preparing to reach the new generation through social media, WhatsApp, local media, creative content, and influencers. Officials have been instructed to ensure maximum public participation by preparing a time-bound calendar of events.
Ashok Chaurasia stated that 13 major events will be organised during the month-long campaign. These include “Namo Seva Gatha,” “Aangan Ka Utsav,” “Kahani Badlaav Ki,” “Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,” “Seva Jyoti Yatra,” “Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra,” “Seva Mera Yogdan,” “Seva Setu Abhiyan,” “Rangoli Rashtra and Ghar-Ghar Se Rashtra Tak,” “National Innovation Challenge,” and “Janseva Mahakumbh.”
In addition, events such as laser shows at major monuments, Maha Yagnas and special rituals at major pilgrimage sites, and Gram Chaupals have also been included in the campaign.
The party aims to connect the Prime Minister’s 25 years of public life with activities of service, good governance, development, and welfare of the poor, thereby expanding the reach of the campaign to different social segments.
Ashok Chaurasia stated that the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” is a means of expressing the nation’s gratitude to the Prime Minister and conveying the resolve for a developed India to the masses. He emphasised the necessity of public participation in all service programs and urged officials to transform the campaign into a mass movement rather than an organisational activity.
BJP Kashi region spokesperson Navratan Rathi stated that the regional president assigned regional officials the responsibility for the successful implementation and monitoring of various service programs being organised in various districts of the Kashi region under the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” during the meeting.
