New Delhi [India], August 23 (ANI): The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) clarified that a notice claiming the closure of CGHS Wellness Centres from August 27 to 31, 2026, due to the deployment of Medical Officers for NEET-PG examination duty is fake and unauthorised.

In a circular issued by the Directorate of CGHS, the department said an unauthorised notice bearing the name and logo of CGHS was being circulated, falsely claiming that Wellness Centres would remain closed during the mentioned period.

The circular reads “It has come to the notice of the Directorate that an unauthorised notice bearing the name and logo of CGHS is being circulated, claiming that CGHS Wellness Centres will remain closed from 27 to 31 August 2026 due to deployment of Medical Officers for NEET-PG examination duty.”

The Directorate clarified that the notice was neither issued nor authorised by CGHS and that its contents were false. It further stated that all CGHS Wellness Centres will continue to function as per their prescribed working schedule during the period.

“It is hereby clarified that the said notice has neither been issued nor authorised by the Directorate of CGHS and that its contents are false. CGHS Wellness Centres shall function during the aforesaid period in accordance with their prescribed working schedule. Any deployment of CGHS personnel for official duties shall be managed through appropriate administrative arrangements, without disruption of services to beneficiaries,” the circular stated.

The Directorate has directed all Additional Directors of CGHS to ensure that the clarification reaches all Wellness Centres and beneficiaries under their jurisdiction. They have also been asked to make necessary staffing and duty arrangements to ensure continuity of services.

It stated, “This clarification is brought to the notice of all CGHS Wellness Centres and beneficiaries under their jurisdiction. Necessary staffing and duty arrangements are made to ensure continuity of services.”

CGHS authorities further instructed that the unauthorised notice should not be displayed or circulated by any CGHS office or official.

“The unauthorised notice is neither displayed nor circulated by any CGHS office or official,” the circular reads.

Beneficiaries and members of the public have been advised to ignore the fake notice and verify CGHS-related information only through the official CGHS website, the myCGHS 2.0 application or concerned CGHS authorities.

The Directorate added that the unauthorised use of the CGHS name and logo is being viewed seriously and any information regarding the source or circulation of the notice may be reported for appropriate action.

“The unauthorised use of the CGHS name and logo is viewed seriously. Any information regarding the source or circulation of the said notice may be reported immediately to the Directorate for appropriate action,” it added. (ANI)
