Tadepalli (Andhra Pradesh) [India], August 10 (ANI): YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday said the party has been forced to undertake a long-term movement and campaign over several issues concerning the state.
He said that the movement is not limited to one or two issues, but covers several matters affecting the people of Andhra Pradesh.
“Actually, it is a long-drawn movement or campaign which we were forced to take up because not only this, there are so many other issues also,” Sajjala told ANI.
He alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had failed to fulfil promises made before elections and had ignored issues concerning farmers and other sections of society after coming to power.
“What Chandrababu Naidu, who is presently heading the government in Andhra Pradesh, has continuously given, thrown so many issues or his deceptions to expose or his criminal negligence about farmers’ issues and other issues,” he said.
“Giving false promises before elections and later forgetting totally, as if he doesn’t know anything and he didn’t give any promise, all these and also failure, total failure and conscious failure in maintenance of law and order situation in the state have thrown so many challenges to opposition parties,” Sajjala added.
He said YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is currently the Leader of the Opposition, has continuously raised issues concerning farmers and other sections of society.
“Unfortunately, here three parties have joined the government as an alliance as part of the NDA alliance. And only one major party, that is YSRCP, is there to question or expose anything in the state,” he said.
He alleged that the government has failed to fulfil several promises made before the elections and accused it of misleading the people by forgetting those assurances after coming to power.
“We feel our leader Jagan Mohan Reddy garu and our party have continuously tried to uphold whatever faith people have in our party by taking up every issue and organising peaceful protests and exposing Chandrababu’s misdeeds and other things,” he said.
Sajjala also alleged that there has been a deliberate failure in maintaining law and order in the state, creating serious challenges for the opposition.
He said three parties have come together to form the government under the NDA alliance, while the YSRCP remains the major opposition party, questioning the government and exposing its alleged failures. (ANI)
