Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 4 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken immediate cognisance of the disaster-induced damage to the road connecting Khainuri village in Dasholi block of Chamoli district.
He has directed the Chamoli District Magistrate and concerned departmental officials on Monday to restore the road on a priority basis and ensure the early resumption of traffic.
The Chief Minister spoke over the phone with residents of Khainuri village, who apprised him of the condition of the road linking their village. The villagers informed him that the road had been completely damaged due to the disaster, causing severe commuting difficulties for nearly 120 families.
After hearing their concerns, CM Dhami immediately instructed the concerned officials to take necessary action. He directed that the damaged road be repaired on priority to ensure safe and smooth connectivity for the villagers. He also asked officials to assess the situation on the ground and take all necessary measures required for the restoration work.
The Chief Minister said that the timely and effective resolution of every citizen’s grievance remains a top priority for the state government. He stressed that there should be no unnecessary delay in restoring roads, drinking water supply, electricity, and other essential public services in disaster-affected areas.
He further directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure the swift restoration of basic amenities.
CM Dhami further instructed officials to deal with public grievances in disaster-hit areas with sensitivity. He emphasised that complaints received from rural and remote regions should be given special attention and resolved promptly so that local residents do not face unnecessary hardships.
He said the state government is committed to addressing public concerns with sensitivity and responsiveness. The administration, he added, must respond immediately to issues raised by citizens and ensure that effective action is visible on the ground.
The Chief Minister reiterated that restoring normal life in disaster-affected areas at the earliest is the government’s priority. He directed all concerned officials to work with full commitment and ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place without delay. (ANI)
