Gen Z has always been with us, confident every section of society stands with PM Modi: Piyush Goyal

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 2 (ANI): Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday said that Gen Z has always been with the BJP and expressed confidence that every section of society stands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking to the media here, Goyal lauded the launch of ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the enthusiasm of the country’s youth will make India drug-free.

“The enthusiasm of our youth to make India drug-free will lay the foundation for a Viksit Bharat. I am fully confident that young men and women will join this collective fight against drugs in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision; we in North Mumbai are very excited to be part of this campaign to make the entire region drug-free,” he said.

“Gen Z has always been with us. The Prime Minister could not have won three times without the support of Gen Z and the power of the youth. We remain fully confident that every section of society stands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added.

Generation Z broadly refers to a demographic cohort born between 1997 and 2012.

PM Modi today launched ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ and spoke through video conferencing to over one crore young citizens connected from more than 28,000 locations.

Highlighting the comprehensive nature of the initiative, the Prime Minister explained that the campaign transcends individual wellness, simultaneously serving the broader interests of families, society, and the entire nation.

Outlining the core objective behind the ‘Drug-Free Youth for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’, he stressed that achieving Viksit Bharat fundamentally requires a physically healthy, mentally robust, and highly confident younger generation completely free from self-destructive habits.

”Today, as the nation has set the goal of a Viksit Bharat, it is imperative that the country’s youth remain physically and mentally fit, brimming with self-confidence, and permanently steer clear of destructive habits like drugs,” he said. (ANI)
