Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], July 12 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the new vegetable sub-yard during the Amrit Mahotsav of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee–APMC–at Dahegam in Gandhinagar district of Gujarat on July 13, according to the release.

Driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation) and spearheaded by Union Minister Amit Shah, the sector is reportedly achieving significant milestones in ensuring farmer welfare.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Chairman of Dahegam APMC Sumeru Amin, cooperative representatives, APMC members and several others will also be present on the occasion.

During the programme, Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will plant a sapling under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and inaugurate the new vegetable sub-yard developed by the APMC.

Amit Shah will also release a commemorative publication prepared to mark the Amrit Mahotsav of the APMC. During the programme, he will interact with the members of the Dahegam APMC Board.

Earlier today, Amit Shah led the mass plantation of around 1.25 crore trees under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s ‘Mission Five Million Trees’ campaign and inaugurated as well as laid the foundation stones for various public-oriented development projects worth approximately Rs 405 crore undertaken jointly by the AMC, AUDA, and the Roads and Buildings Department.

According to a press release issued by the Gujarat CMO, the programme, held at Science City in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, also witnessed the inauguration of 101 Oxygen Parks across the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency and 155 AC Electric BRTS – AMTS buses.

Addressing the gathering, Shah said that an unprecedented ‘Jan Abhiyan’ (people’s campaign) has been launched in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency and Ahmedabad city for environmental conservation and the protection of the Earth. (ANI)
