Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 2 (ANI): Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Thursday hit out at Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Goud over his comments targeting BJP National President Nitin Nabin, saying that the BJP is least bothered about the remarks made by the Opposition as it is growing stronger.

Speaking to ANI, Rao said that not only the party cadres but the general public had welcomed Nabin wholeheartedly.

“After CM Revanth Reddy, TPCC President Mahesh Goud also commented on BJP National President Nitin Nabin’s visit, calling it a “flop show.” Not only the party cadre but also the public grandly welcomed BJP President Nitin Nabin. This has clearly made the Congress Party and its TPCC president uneasy, as they are worried about the BJP’s growing presence in the state. BJP President Nitin Nabin’s visit exposed the Congress Party’s corruption and further strengthened the BJP’s prospects in the state. We are least bothered by the Congress Party’s remarks. The BJP is growing stronger, and we will come to power,” he said.

The remarks came after Goud criticised the BJP National President, saying that his Telangana visit was an “utter flop show.”

“Nabin’s tour in Telangana is an utter flop show. For a national president visiting Telangana, the state party could not mobilise sufficient cadre. It’s totally an utter flop show,” he said.

Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a sharp attack on Nitin Nabin during his three-day visit to the state, asserting that the Congress would “crush” the BJP in the next Assembly elections.

Nitin Nabin had expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory in the 2028 Assembly polls during his visit to Telangana. Hitting back, Revanth Reddy said their tricks used in West Bengal would not work in Telangana.

Addressing the Rythu Bharosa Program in Hyderabad, CM Reddy said, “Recently, a guy came here, Nabin or whatever, I don’t really know his name. But he comes here and says, the next government is theirs. You said the same thing about West Bengal. It took you 15 years (to form a government) in West Bengal. Over there, because it was Mamata Banerjee, your tricks might have worked. But here, all our guys are ready, and they will crush you.”

A day earlier, Nabin announced that the party would launch a statewide agitation against the Congress government in Telangana, alleging that the ruling dispensation had failed to fulfil the promises it made to the people ahead of the Assembly elections. (ANI)
